The HLTA role complements the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an established system of supervision. This involves planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or covering whole classes. To develop, motivate and line manage others within a framework which encourages collaboration and innovation.

• You will be a qualified HLTA or experienced at this level, with good knowledge of SEND and SEMH
• You will have the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with a range of people, including a good standard of written and spoken English
• You will demonstrate a high degree of resilience and professionalism
• Above all, you will have enthusiasm for and a positive attitude towards enabling autistic children and young people to lead independent and fulfilling lives
• On this occasion, we are particularly looking for an individual who has an interest and experience in careers education and employability pathways for young people with autism
