We’re looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join a busy conference and hospitality operation, delivering high-quality, seasonal, and bespoke menus for events of up to 400 guests. With weekly conferences and multiple large‑scale, multi‑day events throughout the year, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a fast‑paced and dynamic kitchen environment.

• Manage the conference kitchen, ensuring smooth and profitable food production.
• Deliver high‑quality food for weekly conferences and large multi‑day events.
• Plan menus, oversee food purchasing, and manage stock control.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety across all kitchen areas.
• Support and contribute to seasonal and bespoke menu development.
• Lead the team through effective communication and performance management.
• Ensure labour and GP targets are consistently achieved.

• Have experience in conferences or high‑volume kitchen.
• Be confident working independently.
• Have experience managing kitchen operations from a commercial perspective.
• Possess a solid understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations.
• Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Be flexible working early morning and late evenings.
• Ideally have Intermediate Food Hygiene / Level 3 certification.
