Java Developer, London

We are seeking specialist Java engineers with experience working on high performance/low latency systems. We’re working with banks and other major financial institutions on projects where microseconds count.

1. Build and maintain Java applications in banking and trading sectors that require the highest levels of performance.
2. Develop and maintain testing and benchmarking code to ensure system efficiency.
3. Apply systematic approaches to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, enhancing performance.
4. Introduce innovative ideas at various levels to improve solution performance.
5. Demonstrate and quantify performance improvements with solid evidence.
6. Operate within existing high-performance systems, frameworks, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate:

• Has a proven track record in implementing high performance and low latency systems on the JVM.
• Possesses deep knowledge of JVM internals (including garbage collection, concurrency, locking, etc.) and is an expert in Java.
