• Lead teaching, learning, curriculum development and departmental improvement across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Raise standards, develop schemes of work, monitor student progress and ensure pupils benefit from an ambitious and well‑planned curriculum.
• Use assessment data, plan intervention, develop staff and maintain high expectations for behaviour, presentation and achievement.
• Lead and support teachers, trainee teachers and technicians within the department, ensuring high standards of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.
