Salary: Competitive + bonus

OVERVIEW

Join a well-established Legal 500 firm with a strong Child Care team handling a broad range of public law children matters. This is an opportunity to work within a supportive and flexible environment representing parents, grandparents, family members, and children in complex care proceedings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing a varied Child Care caseload including Care Proceedings, Supervision Orders, Emergency Protection Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, Adoption matters, and Child Arrangements disputes
• Advising and supporting vulnerable clients through sensitive and complex proceedings
• Handling Legal Aid applications and CCMS procedures
• Preparing court bundles, witness statements, and legal documents
• Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
• Liaising with CAFCASS Guardians, counsel, and external agencies
• Supervising and supporting junior team members where required
• Supporting business development and networking initiatives to help grow the department
• Delivering a high standard of client care while working to court deadlines

ABOUT YOU

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ PQE in Child Care / Family Law
• Children Panel Accreditation preferred
• Strong experience managing public law children matters independently
• Confident handling Legal Aid and CCMS processes
• Advocacy experience advantageous but not essential
