Our client is a contractor who is a modern, professional infrastructure company. Their clients are some of the leading organisations in the country and in the world. They have a multi-disciplined "turnkey" approach and client focused attitude that ensures they successfully deliver projects in the same manner every single time. They require an Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis, their head office is based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Most of the projects that they deliver are for tier one contractors, on water projects, waste and clean although they are a multi-disciplinary contractor they have some turnkey projects within highways. As an Estimator you will be accountable for managing the estimating of construction projects including the following: Estimating Responsibilites: receive enquiries and file them in the "Enquiries" folder on our cloud based system ensure that when filing new enquiries the most up to date Project Template folder is used - you will receive training on this at your induction contact the relevant Client representative and arrange a site visit if required attend site to fully understand the requirements of the project and expectations of the client use the templates provided within the " Tender" folder to estimate the project making sure you select the correct contact type documents ensure that an outline programme is developed before any estimating begins and use this to properly estimate the project submit tenders along with outline programme and the tender quotation document found in the "Tender Submission Documents" folder for each project complete the Tender Strategy document with information on how the tender was priced and the key contact details for suppliers or sub-contractors complete all bid information required for tenders Project Estimating Experience: upon a project being successfully awarded arrange and undertake a handover with the Site Team populate the "Site Documents" folder with as much information as possible for the Site Tea ensure the Tender Strategy is communicated to the Site Team and that the programme is explained ensure that all sub-contract enquiries are sent out on the "Subcontract Enquiry" template Experience: You must have worked for a major contractor or tier 2 contractor You must have previous estimating experience You must have worked on previous water civil engineering projects
