Housekeeper, Willoughby on the Wolds

Position

Housekeeper – South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form, Keyworth.

Salary and Working Hours

Scale 1 – £24,796 per annum (pro rata). Part‑time, 30 hours per week, all year round.

Term Time – Monday to Thursday 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm, Friday 11.30 pm to 5.30 pm. School Holidays – Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.

Location

South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form, Keyworth, Nottinghamshire – 6 miles from West Bridgford. The school is a high attaining, semi‑rural, popular institution serving young people.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the school premises.
• Lay out and put away furniture and classroom equipment.
• Assist with cleaning tasks during term time and school holidays.
• Support the school team during unexpected situations and provide a friendly, approachable presence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Commitment to working safely and a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including walking, lifting and moving furniture.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with young people.
• Previous experience in catering, housekeeping or general cleaning is an advantage but not essential.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
