A unique opportunity has arisen for a motivated apprentice to join East Suffolk Council as aMarine Services Apprenticein ourCoastal Property team.
The role
You will provide support to the Coastal Property Team based in Oulton Broad and Southwold, who are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Yacht Station and Harbour.
In this role, you will deliver excellent customer service both face to face and via email, telephone and radio, interacting with boat users, members of the public and colleagues. Your duties will include collecting mooring fees, updating accounting records, assisting with the coordination of safe vessel movements, maintaining the yacht centre, and supporting the daily operation of Mutford Lock and Bridge.
What you will need
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, strong IT skills and ideally four GCSEs at grade C or grade 4-9 (or equivalent). Candidates without GCSE Maths and/or English will have the opportunity to gain these qualifications during the apprenticeship. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided, however a passion to be a positive and professional ambassador for the council and provide the best experience for our customers is a must.
