What you will do:
  • Manage a varied caseload of referrals and initialsafeguarding cases, ensuring each receives appropriate attention and care.
  • Undertake thoroughChild and Family Assessmentswithin statutory timescales.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risk to children, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Progress cases toChild In Need, Child Protection, or care proceedingswhere necessary.
  • Participate instrategy discussions, child protection conferences, and legal meetings.
  • Collaborate withmulti-agency professionalsto deliver consistent and comprehensive care.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification inSocial Work
  • Registered withSocial Work England
  • EnhancedDBS clearance
  • Right to Work in the UK

Key Skills:
  • Strongsafeguarding and risk assessmentskills
  • Sound understanding ofDuty&Assessment processes and thresholds
  • Excellentanalytical, communication, and decision-makingabilities
  • Ability to manage afast-paced workloadeffectively
  • Strongorganisational and caseload managementskills
  • Ability to work within amulti-agency environment

Experience:
  • Post-qualification experience inChildren's Social Care
  • Experience withinDuty, Assessment, or Front Door teams
  • Experience managingsafeguarding and child protection cases
  • Proven experience inmulti-agency partnership working
