The Role As the Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. You will provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and compliance with OFSTED standards. Key Responsibilities:Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home. Lead, mentor, and supervise the care team to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Support the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, promoting the safety and well-being of all children. Assist in managing budgets and resources efficiently. Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, maintaining continuity and compliance. Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance management. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals. About You We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is committed to creating positive change for children and young people. Essential Requirements: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (orequivalent) and willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. At least 2 years of experience working in a childrens residential care setting. Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach to leadership and care delivery. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a residential care setting. Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
