Financial Accountant, Gargrave

Our client is looking to take on a qualified and experienced financial accountant who has a good grasp of this role with good analytical skills as well as ability to oversee the central balance sheet and enable business areas to make accurate budgeting and investment decisions. You will be a good commuting distance from the Skipton area with own transport and a good understanding of SAP. You will have full responsibility for ensuring that the complete, accurate and timely monthly management reporting to Group happens. Other essential skills: * Strong Excel skills - every day use * SAP or other ERP -essential for day to day * Ability to work under pressure * Exceptional organisational skills * Good analytical skills Day to day duties and responsibilities: * Complete, accurate and timely monthly management reporting to Group * Ensure legal entity forecasting is assembled and reported to group reporting deadlines * perform or review relevant reconciliation and take part in the review of Balance Sheets * Ensure all relevant VAT and Intrastat reporting is submitted on a timely basis * Ensure year end processes are performed on a timely basis including providing all relevant information to external auditors * Support review of company minimum control standards * Support transactional team with financial accounting processes * Manage and develop trainee financial accountant This is a full time role working Monday - Friday (8-4.30 with 1pm Friday finish and flex 1 hour each way)
