Food Processing Machine Operative, Wisbech

We are seeking permanent Machine Operatives to work on day shifts of 4 on 4 off. Start: ASAP Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire Day Shift Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern 10:30am ? 10pm Hourly Rate: £10.01 per hour with an opportunity to earn more through overtime Overtime Rates: Paid at 1.25% Duration: Permanent Benefits: 20 days holiday, Pension Scheme, Onsite Parking, Shopping discounts, Health cash back scheme, Counselling & Financial wellbeing support, Loyalty awards and company events As this role is working withing the fresh produce market it is essential that you hold an understanding of health and safety within the industry that coupled with relevant experience of working with relevant food manufacturing machinery. Duties will include: * Operating all packing machinery including Multihead Weighers, VFF baggers, tray sealers and check weighers * Quality control checks on products * Completion of all paperwork accurately and on time * Liaise with the despatch team to reduce waste * Liaise with the flume & mixing teams to ensure all materials are ready for the production lines * Adhere to all health & safety policies * Liaise with the Engineering team if there are any machine break downs Skills, Qualifications, and experience required: * Previous experience working with fresh produce * Basic Food & Hygiene certificate * Basic Health & Safety certificate * Manual Handling trained * Must be a team player * Strong and written and spoken English with the ability to understand health and safety instructions * Must be flexible to support the team If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
