Job Title: IT Configuration Technician Location: Rugby Salary: £20800 per annum Contract Type: Perm / Full time Sector: Distribution To work within a team of skilled IT Configuration Technician, completing tasks as laid out by the Configuration leadership team, and supporting other engineers where necessary. All tasks are to be carried out to a high standard, ensuring our service levels to our clients are met at all costs. As a IT Configuration Technician your duties will include: Asset tagging of customer machines Hardware upgrade of Desktop, Laptop and server Application of Customer images to machines Removal and disposal of packaging Adding protective packaging to machines Supporting Intermediate level engineers General hygiene duties within the Configuration centre At times using and updating basic spreadsheets Using internal systems to log specified data for all customer orders At times liaising with sales teams to identify and resolve issues Other general configuration tasks as laid out by the leadership teamAn ideal IT Configuration Technician will hold the following skills and experiences: Preferably experience in a similar environment but not essential An understanding of SLA's and that they must be adhered to. Use of spreadsheets and keeping them updated. Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. Preferably familiar with installing Windows Operating Systems Preferably GCSE in English & Maths Basic warehousing experience would be goodPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; A very keen interest in IT There are physical aspects of the job which would require the applicant to be fairly fit and able. Self motivated and quick learner. Ability to work under pressure and as a part of a team. Flexibility to work overtime if required. Ability to follow instruction. Time management and organisational skills.
