Due to this success and sustained growth they are now recruiting for an experienced Control Systems/Electrical Engineer to join our multi-discipline team, to deliver the machine control system for a range of exciting machinery-based projects. The Role: To be responsible for the design and creation of machine control system solutions for special purpose automated machinery projects. Developing machine processes to achieve performance requirements Commission machine control system, perform machine testing including Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance testing with customers Training of operators & customer engineers both at customer site Provide customer support and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems that can include visits to customer's site throughout the UK & occasionally outside the UK Modifications and enhancements to existing systems Candidate Profile Degree qualified or equivalent in electronic engineering or closely related control system discipline Demonstrate competence in carrying out machine risk assessments, complying with safety standards including Sistema or equivalent Knowledge of ePlan would be an advantage Knowledge of software design and PLC coding experience with any of the following equipment would be an advantage: Omron, Siemens, B&R, Mitsubishi, Rockwell Experience of integrating and programming of robots would be an advantage. Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering machine control system projects to required timescale and budget Must be flexible and able to work away at short notice and work the hours required to complete the job, prepared to travel within the UK if necessary
