This is a field based position that will cover the whole of the North West, so candidates will be required to drive and will be provided with a company car. You will work from home when not with customers so your home location is not an issue* Platform Resourcing is working with a successful company that has multiple branches across the UK. They are now looking for a Product specialist that will be field based to cover the whole of the North West, introducing a wide range of products including valve and actuation, process equipment, filtration and life science devices as well as many others to new and existing clients. The role will involve managing customer relationships and developing new business across the Group portfolio, to deliver customer requirements around supply, quality and new product introductions. This role will report to the UK Sales Director and will collaborate with colleagues across the team internally as well as the external sales team. This role is mobile and covers a large area ? You must have a full driving license, you will be provided with a company car. Benefits: * Competitive salary of up to £40,000 based on experience * Sales bonus dependent on individual (typically/ initially around 10% in first full year based on end of year targets being met). Beyond the first full year there is potential to incentivise with higher bonus depending on performance and can be negotiated. * Company car with a value up to £28,000 * Permanent Health Insurance to all employees after 12 months of employment as well as Death in Service Policy and more. Responsibilities: * Managing Key Client Accounts, providing exceptional service at all times. * Arrange visits with both new and existing customers, explaining new products as well as problem solving and offering suggestions based on their needs. * Follow up calls after providing quotes to customers, closing deals. * Develop and maintain relationships with customers at all levels to ensure optimum customer satisfaction. * Grow sales across in the UK market based on products assigned, creating sales strategy and target list. * Work towards achievable agreed sales targets. * Ensure quotes are issued in line with customer?s expectations. * Work well with other team members ? liaising with other product specialists in other areas & attend weekly meetings with Internal teams. * Learn product knowledge, being able to confidently relay product information after going through internal training programs & factory visits seeing products being made. * Market analysis, acknowledging any comparator product range changes etc. and relaying that information to head office to ensure the company remains competitive in the market. * Identify emerging trends and develop new product opportunities to increase company market share. * Work on the buying and marketing strategy development with the ?Digitalisation? team with customer satisfaction and eCommerce as its focus. * Attend trade shows, delivering advice and presentations at product events. * Work to identify projects and build information to track and share as a team. Essential Experience: * Experience within a Technical Sales role, preferably promoting Engineering products such as Valves, Actuators, filtration devices and other process equipment. * Experience in a Business Development and Account management being able to show proven sales figures and achievements. * Lead generation and identification of key influencers and decision makers within relevant companies. * Ability to create long lasting relationships and achieve loyalty with customers. * Experience of providing quotations to customers, including technical solutions and follow ups. * Excellent negotiation skills as well as presentation skills for larger projects. * Experience working with similar customers i.e. manufacturing, industrial and engineering companies. * Ability to analyse market trends, create sales strategies and make business development plans. * A pro-active, dependable and resourceful person, able to work autonomously with good time management skills. Experienced in learning new product knowledge and able to relay that to customers clearly. * Full clean driving license.
