Water Treatment Flushing Supervisor - Greater Manchester

Our client a well-established name in the water management industry with an excellent reputation for delivering professional water treatment/hygiene and legionella services across the UK. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced and highly skilled Water Treatment Flushing Supervisor based in and around the Greater Manchester area. The successful applicant will come from a strong technical water treatment background and will be experienced in carrying out and supervising routine flushing duties including disinfections of water systems, flushing systems, tank cleans and remedial work. Applications from Burnley, Bolton, Stockport, Wigan and the surrounding areas will be considered. Qualifications & experience: Must come from a strong educational, chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background. Experience working in a flushing engineer role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry. A good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislation. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Excellent communication skills. Role: Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc. Monitoring client's air and water systems ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation. Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers, etc. Conducting routine sampling, temperature monitoring and analysis of water systems. Installation and maintenance of dosing systems. Building a strong professional working relationship with clients. Carrying out the work in accordance to specifications and legislation. Collate and produce comprehensive reports. Occasional pre-commissioning duties. Attributes: The ideal candidate will have good work ethos and at the same time have the ability to carry out technical Legionella Risk Assessments effectively.
