Controls Engineer Controls Engineer ? SCADA, PLC, object oriented programming, C# .Net, C++ - Manchester ? Permanent - £35k - £45k + bens A Controls Engineer is urgently required with strong experience of working within both PLC and SCADA environments for a number of very large, high profile projects for my client, who work with some of the UK?s largest service providers. You will be responsible for the full end to end design, development, installation and delivery of new control systems as required for a number of clients in both the private and public sectors. This role will on occasion be required to visit my client?s customer?s sites, so some flexibility to travel will be needed. Controls Engineer Role and Responsibilities: - Design and deliver innovative Controls Systems to required customer specifications in a fast-paced environment - Play a key role in the design, development, installation, commissioning, confirguration and delivery of SCADA/PLCs within large scale projects. - Work collaboratively within well-established teams of Engineers/Developers on a mixture of existing, and new greenfield projects - Observe object-oriented design and development principles - Coach and support junior team members in gaining the necessary understanding/level of competence and experience in delivering control systems Controls Engineer Skills and Experience: - At least 3 years? experience in Controls Engineering/PLC/SCADA engineering/development - Experience in, or a willingness to mentor junior controls systems engineers - SCADA development experience using commercial SCADA packages (ideally Codra Panorama, or Citect, Intouch, WinCC etc) would be beneficial - Object Orientated Programming experience with a good knowledge of software architecture would be beneficial (ideally C# .net/C++ etc). - Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel as needed This is an exciting role for a very successful start-up wherein you will be working as a project consultant on some large-scale projects within multiple environments. You will gain excellent experience in the end to end delivery of control systems for an incredibly diverse client base. Controls Engineer ?
