Title: Compliance Manager Territory: Based Manchester or surrounding Salary: Highly competitive salary + exceptional benefits on offer Evolve Consultant: Claire Handley Ref: 7537 Job Purpose Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical organisation, currently seeking to fill an exciting vacancy for a Compliance Manager. This position will support the Legal and Compliance Director in implementing the UK Compliance agenda for the UK business in line with the ABPI Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry, UK laws and regulations, the Corporate Code of Ethics and all other applicable internal policies and procedures. Essential Requirements Candidates must have experience of compliance within the Pharmaceutical industry, enabling them to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the ABPI Code. They should be able to develop and deliver training within their own field of expert knowledge, whilst being able to develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal stakeholders/departments is essential. Additionally, the job holder must have good communication skills, both written and oral and be able to influence both internally and externally and have experience of carrying out internal and external audits within agreed guidelines. Whilst not essential, it would be desirable if the job holder had knowledge of different software systems (e.g. Veeva, SAP). Responsibilities may include Support the delivery of the Compliance agenda/governance within the organisation, ensuring adherence and conducting regular formal compliance reviews and/or meetings with key personnel. As an internal expert, provide advice and coaching to internal customers on the ABPI Code and/or other relevant internal policies and procedures. Support the creation and adherence to an internal audit programme. Setting appropriate timeframes for audits to be conducted and adhering to time frames. Support internal investigations as required/assigned and help write up findings/recommendations/key learnings. Act upon audits, feedback, investigation outcomes, etc. to support and/or create compliance process improvements. As required, take an active involvement in the production, updating and training out of SOPs Support the development and delivery of training materials to company employees on general compliance, critical policies, SOPs and the ABPI Code. Ensure all training delivered and/or SOP familiarisation for all employees is effectively recorded and reported upon. Support the completion of compliance reports. Receive,
deal with and advise upon requests for contracts with HCPs/HCOs from the business and/or its affiliates from time to time. Respond to day to day ad hoc compliance questions. Work closely with all departments to ensure company and departmental compliance. Establish and maintain meticulous record keeping systems. Ensure strict compliance to both company standards (SOPs) and the ABPI Code of Practice Comply with the Company Code of Ethics Support the delivery of ad hoc work requests from the Leadership team. In line with annual objectives, contribute and support the UK Affiliate on its sustainability journey.
