Fire & Security Service Engineer Company based in Stevenage Upto £30,000 basic My client are currently looking to recruit an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our company on a full time basis, a fully funded vehicle is provided with a competitive salary depending on experience. The role As a Service Engineer your duties will include the servicing of fire & security systems, attending call outs and remedial works. The role will be to cover stevenage and the counties surrounding stevenage with occasional trips further afield. You will have a full clean UK driving licence, be presentable with excellent communication and customer service skills. As a small company there will be daily contact with the office so an approachable and friendly manner is essential as is being a good team player. You must be willing to learn new skills as further training will be provided. A lap-top and mobile phone are provided. The company We provide a specialist service in the design, installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems throughout the United Kingdom. We operate in all commercial areas including retail, health service, education and offices. We provide a professional service to all of our clients and have specialist engineers trained to the highest industry standard. We have recently invested in a new service software package which is being implemented over the next two months. Skills required Ideally you will have five years? experience as a fire and security engineer. Evidence of manufacturer training in the form of certificates would be advantageous. Electrical Qualifications although desirable are not essential. It is essential that you have very good knowledge of the following systems:- Fire Alarm Knowledge of Advanced Electronic and Kentec panels is essential. Knowledge of C-Tec and Morley panels would be beneficial. We also maintain a variety of conventional fire alarm systems so knowledge of conventional fire alarm systems is essential. We are an approved Gent System Integrator and training on Gent products will be provided. Intruder Alarm Knowledge of Galaxy and Texecom systems are very important. Access Control/Door Entry Knowledge of Paxton and BPT systems are very important, knowledge of PAC and ACT systems would be beneficial. CCTV Systems Knowledge of CCTV systems is essential. Emergency Lighting Emergency lighting is a growing service provision by FireMaster Alarms and as such knowledge of testing emergency lighting is essential. Redcare To be able to set up and test Redcare monitoring would be beneficial. There will be an element of fault finding involved so fault diagnostic skills are very important.
