Banking / Finance Solicitor, Manchester

I’m currently working with an industry leaving law firm that is looking to expand its Banking & Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE who is keen to gain exposure to a broad mix of finance work within a highly regarded and growing team.

You’ll advise on a wide range of transactions including:

• Acquisition and leveraged finance
• Project finance
• Asset-based lending

The team acts for major UK financial institutions (including clearing and challenger banks), specialist lenders and a wide range of borrower clients both in the UK and internationally.

There is particularly strong activity in:

• Private equity and acquisition finance
• Real estate finance across acquisitions, investment and development projects

This role offers genuine breadth of work and the chance to be closely involved in high-quality, complex transactions.

You’ll ideally have previous experience within a recognised banking or finance team and be comfortable managing matters with appropriate supervision.

Key attributes include:

• Strong technical capability and sound commercial judgement
• Experience drafting and negotiating finance documentation (including facility and credit agreements, LMA documentation etc.)
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
