Pay and Hours

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you may work as few as 12. Your shifts will be scheduled within the availability windows, with at least 3 weeks' notice. If your availability roughly matches, we still welcome applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve shoppers and provide great customer service.
• Assist with product knowledge and educate customers.
• Work across service, picking, and replenishment areas.
• Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
• Make decisions that are right for customers and meet store routines.
• Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Monitor store performance and support sales, reduce waste and shrink.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality.
• Live our values and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.
• Greet customers with a smile and pride.
• Build rapport so customers leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip.
• Initiate and take decisions that serve customers.
• Work well within a team and communicate openly.
• Celebrate success and build relationships with colleagues.
• Arrive on time, be well presented, and represent the brand.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age.
• Ability to work between 12 and 16 hours weekly.
• Strong customer service orientation and passion for products.
• Proactive and capable of making independent decisions.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement.
• Willingness to support flexible working arrangements.
• Understanding of safety and quality standards.
