Particle & Powder Characterisation Scientist, Sandwich

CY Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Particle & Powder Characterisation Scientist to join a leading international Life Sciences CRO. The role will be based at their Kent client site within API Product and Process Development. Key Responsibilities and Duties: * Hands-on analysis of particle and powder attributes of APIs and formulations to support formulation and process design * Perform physical, mechanical particle & bulk powder characterisation * Apply data analysis on large data sets to support visualisation and trending of data * Collaborate with Formulation and Material Scientists to determine formulation manufacturability and final formulation performance; help direct future project work * Communicate and work closely with project teams * Maintain high quality documentation of all activities Ideal Skills and Qualifications: * BSc / MSc in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences (or related discipline) * Strong fundamental background in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Solid Oral Formulation including drug product design, processing and manufacturing * Proven industrial experience in Particle and Powder Characterisation techniques * Experience in API product development, drug substance development and process development * Working knowledge of GMP/GLP compliance * Familiarization with batch and continuous drug product processing * Experience of tablet manufacture or compaction simulation * Experience with design, use and implementation of modelling pharmaceutical processes * Previous use of statistical analysis software packages beneficial If you are interested or have any questions about this role, feel free to contact Harriet at CY Partners (phone number removed).
