Responsibilities
- Provide case‑management focused on improving outcomes for Melton residents through initial triage assessment to enable digital, financial and social independence.
- Support residents to build confidence and independence by helping them set and work towards SMART goals.
- Reflect complex situations back to individuals, give constructive feedback, and encourage learning from successes and challenges.
- Identify root causes in complex cases and guide residents toward practical and sustainable solutions.
- Advocate on behalf of residents and collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
- Remain calm and focused when dealing with emergencies or rapidly escalating situations, providing clear guidance and reassurance.
- Liaise effectively with Melton Borough Council colleagues, senior management and partner services.
- Maintain accurate case records, audit and monitor compliance, process referrals, and support the delivery of courses, workshops and meetings at Phoenix House.
- Apply strong IT skills, including Microsoft applications, web‑based databases and social media.
- Prioritise workload, manage time, and meet deadlines in a busy and demanding environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills; strong commitment to supporting people to improve their lives.
- Ability to listen carefully, understand complex and sensitive issues, and respond in a clear, supportive and non‑judgemental way.
- Skilled at reflecting situations, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging learning.
- Experience advocating on behalf of residents and working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies.
- Experience of complex casework or a relevant qualification is a significant advantage.
- Comfortable working in a busy and demanding environment with proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
