School Caretakers Required for Schools across Teesside and North Yorkshire - September starts Your new company Schools and colleges across Teesside and North Yorkshire are seeking a Caretakers, on a full-time and part time basis for September 2020 onward. You must be willing to travel and to work as requested or required. Your new role You will be responsible for the care and upkeep of school buildings, facilities and grounds, by performing daily operational duties comprising janitorial and maintenance tasks. Although a lot of time may be spent working alone, you will come into contact and meet a variety of people including children, teachers and contractors working on the site, where you will liaise and oversee their work to maintain health and safety. You may be required to work shift patterns throughout the week dependant on the school's needs, on a full-time basis. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience working as a School Caretaker. You will be highly motivated and have a good understanding of any practical skills to maintain the school's health and safety. You will have the ability to adapt to various jobs that will need to be completed and must have good communication skills, to ensure that you know what areas need to be covered.
