Senior BI Developer Location: Middlesbrough Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 plus a market leading and very comprehensive benefits package The Client: Our client who are a Digital Transformation and Software Development consultancy, specialising in delivering high performing and cutting-edge software to their rapidly growing client portfolio. The Role: The key areas of responsibility for the Senior BI Developer are Technical Delivery, Technical Innovation, and Working alongside PO, SM, Tech Lead and QAs in an agile team to deliver high quality software. Essential Skills: * Proficient in at least one programming language * Previous background in a similar software engineering role * Experience with ETLs and building ETL processes * Strong Database knowledge and DB administration skills (SQL) * Have a keen interest in data * Experience of unit testing * Awareness of current trends and developments in software engineering * Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and project management * Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation, and best practice. * Degree level or equivalent education preferred in a relevant subject such as computer sciences, computer engineering, information management systems, software development or business information systems etc. Desirable: * Previous experience of Java or .Net is preferred. * Knowledge of data warehousing / data lake experience is advantageous. * Python or R knowledge due to Machine Learning and Data Processing libraries is advantageous. * CloverETL knowledge or knowledge in a similar ETL tool. * Experience of Google Big Query.
