Bumps and Babies Lead Volunteer, Tees Valley

NCT Darlington and District need a Bumps and Babies Lead volunteer to join the team.

NCT Bumps & Babies is a welcoming, informal playgroup for families run by volunteers. The group needs someone to help with leading the group, welcoming parents, offering refreshments, setting up and tidying away.

The NCT’s vision is to enable all parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenting that enriches their lives and provides a sound foundation for parenthood. Our mision is to offer information and support in pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. Locally, branches run a range of things to support parents, such as ante-natal classes, post-natal groups, a regular newsletter, nearly new sales and social events.

The role involves dealing with the organisation of the group, recording and submitting attendance figures, set up and tidy away after the group, helping to welcome parents and make sure new parents at the group are included, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Organised. Friendly and good communicator. Interested in supporting parents.

Commitment of around 2-3 hours per week
