The Role

This is a varied, practical role supporting the engineering team, with a strong focus on stores management and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering stores across multiple sites, ensuring stock levels and spare parts meet business needs
• Develop and maintain a clear stock control system (aisle/box/bay organisation)
• Support engineers with a “job-in-the-box” system to streamline maintenance work
• Assess daily departmental requirements and prioritise support accordingly
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all areas
• Provide support to colleagues and teams as required
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Liaise with suppliers to secure the best price, quality, and service
• Work closely with Engineering Managers, Procurement, and the Senior Support Officer
• Manage returns and collections, ensuring cost recovery where applicable
• Provide stock reports and updates to support maintenance planning
• Collect and deliver parts as needed, ensuring efficient use of time

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in manufacturing, stores, or engineering support is beneficial but not essential
• Willingness to learn and take ownership
