Full Stack Developer-International Group, Milton Keynes

We are looking for an enthusiastic Full Stack Developer to dive into our growing website platforms based from our international head office in Milton Keynes. You will be tasked with implementing designs by customising the website platform and standardising them across the various country specific websites, ensuring that any changes are filtered through to be viewable and user-friendly in tablet and phone formats in addition to desktop / laptops. You must have a fantastic eye for detail and the ability to reproduce front-end designs precisely, making sensible choices about responsive design and user experience. You will be required to diagnose technical issues and provide front-end fixes. You will need to keep a level head and be methodical in your approach to testing and fixing issues. You will need to demonstrate a good standard of relevant programming skills and the desire to learn and adapt quickly. You will have robust knowledge across front and back end stack, with particular fluency in VueJS and the Laravel PHP framework. You?ll be quick, accurate and have an intuitive understanding for user experience. Our front end is built in Vue.js and the backends are PHP, using the Laravel framework. We use tools like Cloudflare, Forge, Algolia, StyleCI and Envoyer to make our lives easier. You will need the ability to successfully prioritise a varied workload, including working to multiple deadlines. You will be able to set up, and be responsible for, our front end tooling. Must haves: * Test Driven Development - Front End * Test Driven Development - Back End * Ability to discuss requirements, architect a solution and get it implemented * A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment * Javascript master - ideally Vue.js * Comfortable creating and managing a front end tool set * Front end performance, CDNs, caching, page speed, inlining SVGs etc. * Version Control workflows using Github or similar * Know HTML5, SASS, CSS inside out * Excellent knowledge of PHP and Laravel * A keen eye for detail to make sure our websites offer great user experiences; including complex styling and animations * Able to create complex single page web applications with Vue.js * Leader in architecture decisions like state management and server side rendering * Complete understanding of APIs and how frontends and backends interact * Comfortable developing shared components that leverage modern JavaScript design patterns * Able to prototype solutions with design that can eventually scale to larger solutions Nice to haves as a Full Stack Developer * Experience with Sketch and other UI tools. * Knowledge of running dev environments through Docker * Experience building Chatbots or working on Machine Learning * Front end performance, CDNs, caching, page speed etc. * Dev Ops (AWS & Digital Ocean) Please call Alex McMillan or send your CV to him to apply for this position in Milton Keynes
