HGV 1 Driver, Milton Keynes

Our client is seeking reliable drivers to operate Class 1 vehicles, primarily trunking to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs). This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same, with additional duties as required to support smooth operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle, primarily on trunking routes to RDCs
• Adhere to all health and safety and transport regulations, including daily vehicle checks
• Deliver and collect goods on schedule, maintaining accurate records and paperwork
• Assist with loading and unloading as required, ensuring cargo security
• Report any vehicle defects or safety issues promptly to management
• Maintain professional communication with the operations team and customers
• Flexibility to undertake other duties as needed, supporting overall logistics efficiency

What we’re looking for:

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Proven experience driving Class 1 vehicles, especially on trunking routes
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability
