Lift Four Dwellings Primary, part of Lift Schools. Location: Quinton Road West, Quinton, Birmingham, B32 1PJ, United Kingdom. Salary: NJC 9 - 22 £27,254.00 - £33,699.00 (Actual Salary: £11,038.04 - £13,648.31 plus well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits). Hours: 17.5 hours per week (8:30 am - 12:00 pm), 39 weeks per year. Contract: Fixed Term until August 2027. Start date: September 2026.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work in partnership with teachers to support pupils’ learning, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence and achieve their full potential. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally, ensuring they feel confident, included and able to succeed. This includes delivering targeted interventions, supporting individuals and small groups, and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ learning in the classroom and help them access lesson content
• Deliver targeted interventions and support individuals or small groups of pupils
• Help pupils develop independence and confidence in their learning
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
• Work closely with teachers to support planning, assessment and feedback
• Prepare learning resources and support the creation of a stimulating learning environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Support pupils on trips and during wider school activities

What We Are Looking For

• Has GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent
• Has experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• Has a basic understanding of child development and learning (or willingness to learn)
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Shows patience, empathy and resilience when working with pupils
• Works collaboratively as part of a team and is committed to supporting all pupils to succeed
