What You Will Do

• Represent thebest interests of childrenin family court proceedings, providing independent social work advice to the court.
• Undertakecomprehensive assessmentscovering risk, parenting capacity, family functioning, and the child's needs and wishes.
• Preparehigh-quality, analytical court reportswith clear, evidence-based recommendations focused on the child's welfare.
• Attend and contribute tocourt hearings, case management hearings, and multi-agency meetings.
• Work collaboratively withlocal authorities, legal professionals, health services, and partner agencies.
• Maintainaccurate, timely, and high-quality case recordsin line with Cafcass standards.
• Identify and respond tosafeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, parental conflict, and complex family dynamics.
• Ensure thechild's voice is centralto all assessment, analysis, and recommendations.

Requirements
Essential

• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) andregistered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience inChildren's Social Care, including safeguarding and court work.
• Strong experience inassessment, analysis, and report writing.
• Excellent understanding ofchild protection, private and/or public law proceedings, and safeguarding frameworks.
• Confident communicator with the ability topresent evidence and professional opinion in court.
• Ability to managecomplex cases, tight deadlines, and high levels of professional responsibility.
