Warehouse Operative, Newton Abbot

Location: Heathfield, Newton Abbot

Salary: £26-27k per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our Despatch team. This is a hands‑on role where you will play a key part in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time.

• Picking customer orders (involving some heavy lifting – full manual handling training provided)
• Packing orders safely and efficiently
• Processing shipments using courier software and online portals
• Operating and monitoring the weight testing machine
• Using Sage 200 software (training provided if required)
• Liaising with internal departments via phone and email
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the Despatch department
• Keeping your workstation clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards
• Following all health and safety guidelines and reporting any concerns
• Wearing appropriate PPE and uniform at all times
• Carrying out any additional tasks to support the team and wider business
