23103 Pump Engineer - Northants £28,000 - £35,000 + Overtime We are looking at recruiting a Pump Engineer on a permanent basis to carry out service, maintenance and installations on clean and wastewater treatment sites, as well as sewage pumping stations and the related systems. Based out of the head office, these roles will require you to possess a flexible attitude, as you will be travelling nationally. You will also need a positive and pro-active approach and be able to work well within a team as well as using your own initiative. A strong mechanical and electrical background is required, as is experience working on sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants. This position is based on a 40 hour working week plus overtime. Role Description * Carry out service work on sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment systems. * Install single and three phase pumps and associated equipment. * Undertake fault finding work and also work on control panels. * Control van stocks to ensure maximum efficiency. * Working to relevant Health AND Safety Practices while on site. * Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs. * Engineers work in two-man teams, one typically mechanical and one typically electrical with a crossover between the two. Skills AND Attributes * Experience working within sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment systems. * Ability to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical issues. * Knowledge of single and three phase equipment. * Previous experience in a field based service and maintenance role. * Relevant electrical qualification, ideally 17th or 18th * Confined Space Entry certification or be willing to undertake the necessary training. * Good communications skills and a proactive manner. * Have good time management and organizational skills. * Able to work well individually or as part of a team. * Full UK Driving License.
