A Senior Energy Contracts Buyer required on a full-time, permanent basis in Northampton Senior Energy Contracts Buyer Department: UK - Engineering Location: Northampton Contract length: Full Time, Permanent Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 5pm Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 annually A Senior Energy Contracts Buyer based in Northampton. Tasks will include reporting to the Head of Procurement Services and be a key contact for high spend customers and primarily responsible for flexible gas and electricity procurement. Your new role You will be offered a permanent role with the company. You will be a key member of the procurement team and duties will include: keeping abreast of industry regulatory changes, having expert knowledge of cost elements that make up a supply contract, independently compiling and presenting detailed analysis of tender results to senior contracts within the customer base, including their Financial Director's, running flexible gas and electricity contract procurement following the procurement cycle from the creation of tender specifications (Key Selection Criteria) based on listening and understanding customers', through to advertising tenders with suppliers, managing bidders responses and questions, analysing offers, and negotiating re-bids. What you'll need to succeed The Senior Energy Contracts Buyer will need excellent knowledge of the Energy industry(including commercial awareness of energy contracts), commercial awareness and the ability to recognise contractual risk, be able to communicate and influence, a genuine interest in energy & sustainability and be proactive and prioritise effectively.
