Financial Controller Location: Northampton Working pattern: 5 days on site Salary:£60,000-£80,000 depending on experience Role Overview A well-established, people-focused business is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join its finance team. This role would suit an adaptable finance professional who enjoys being close to the business, working within a smallerteam and getting involved across a broad range of responsibilities. Personality and team fit will be just as important as technical ability.Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day finance operations Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs Manage budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting Support year-end accounts and audit processes Maintain strong financial controls and processes Partner with operational teams and senior stakeholdersProvide commercial insight around performance, margins and costs Support process improvements across finance Manage and support the wider finance team where required Get involved in wider business activity outside of core finance when needed Candidate Profile Qualified accountant ideally, though strong QBE profiles may be consideredPrevious Financial Controller / Finance Manager experience Hands-on, adaptable and commercially aware Comfortable working in a smaller, close-knit team SME or mid-sized business background preferred Product, logistics, distribution, or retail backgrounds would be a preference Inventory, costing or margin experience usefulStrong personality and communication skills TPBN1_UKTJ
