Insurance Project Manager, Norwich

For a client in the insurance segment, we are seeking a Project Manager to serve as Data Migration Workstream Lead. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of complex data migration activities within a Financial Crime transformation program.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of the data migration workstream (covering extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation)
• Draft and own the migration runbook
• Manage delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (data, SMEs, technology, third party vendor)
• Drive stakeholder engagement across business, IT, and third parties
• Oversee data quality, reconciliation, and validation processes post-migration
• Facilitate issue resolution and decision making across programme layers
• Support cutover planning, deployment, and post-migration stabilisation

Skills:

• Proven experience leading a data migration within a complex programme
• Strong stakeholder management across senior business and technical audiences
• Data mapping and transformation
• Data cleansing and enrichment
• Migration tooling and reconciliation processes
• Strong project management capability across full lifecycle delivery
• Ability to clearly communicate risks, dependencies, and progress
• Experience producing governance outputs (e.g. steering reports, RAID management, dashboards)
• Experience working within financial services
• Outcome-focused with strong delivery accountability

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of data models related to client, product, and regulatory data
• Experience working with external vendors and system integrators
• Skilled at navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and dependencies
• Exposure to large-scale entity and document migration volumes (e.g., client data, onboarding records)
