Job Title: 2nd Operations Supervisor Location: Nottingham Duration: Permanent Salary: £24k - £28k p/a (DOE) We are currently recruiting for a 2nd Operations Supervisor for a permanent position based in Nottingham. Key Duties & Responsibilities: *Responsible for leadership of all bending, forming, drilling, machining operations, operatives. *Competent operator of press brakes, panel benders, drilling, tapping, machining and associated hand tooling - able to train, mentor and supervise 2nd Operation Cell operatives *Supervise operatives to ensure optimal machine utilisation and product quality by, e.g. *Operate all 2nd Operation Cell machines and equipment safely and efficiently *Instruct / use a CNC controller to input / output information into machines correctly Adjust CNC programs, in conjunction with Engineering to produce new parts and ensuring production meets specifications *Ensure quality checks are undertaken correctly and consistently by trained operatives using e.g. height, depth and thickness using micrometres, dial indicators, callipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments. *Recognise parts for assembly operations *Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements by working in conjunction with other Cells in the value stream *Perform spot inspections of parts *Ensure / perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures *Check / configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel) *Check overall condition of all Cell machines are fit for purpose *Ensure machines and measuring equipment are calibrated /cleaned at appropriate intervals to both maintain quality output and asset life Shifts: * 4-on-4-off * 12 hour shifts * Nights --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
