Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our organization’s financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee all accounting functions, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial insights that drive informed decision-making. Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management
• Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end/year-end closing procedures with precision
• Manage cash flow forecasting, cash management strategies, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to policies
• Utilize financial software Xero to streamline operations and improve reporting accuracy
• Support budgeting processes by analysing variances and providing insights for strategic planning
• Ensure timely processing of payroll and manage related compliance obligations

Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and double-entry bookkeeping techniques
• Extensive experience with financial report writing, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and financial analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable/receivable processes efficiently
• Excellent understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for public entities or nonprofit organizations
• Solid grasp of technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management strategies within a fast-paced environment
