ASD Teaching Assistant - September 2020 WEST Leicestershire, Bosworth district Are you passionate about helping Students? Are you experienced working with young people with autism? Celsian education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants specialising in ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) to work on a short and long-term basis from September in Leicestershire. The role will involve working on a one to one basis with pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder at primary school level. You will be supporting the student across a range of activities and lessons pre-set by the class teacher but may need to adapt these to suit the individual needs of the child; you will need to be pro-active and flexible. Structure and routine are important for these pupils and you will need to be patient. These positions are specifically for TA's that have experience dealing with pupils with autism. To be successful you will need; · Relevant Qualifications level 2 or equivalent · Previous classroom experience · Experience working with SEND; specifically, ASD · Strong behaviour management with patience · Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills · A positive attitude and flexible approach · Team Teach or similar de-escalation training (beneficial) If this is the job for you then please apply now.
