As anEducation Welfare Case Manager, you will play a vital role in managing school attendance cases for children whose parents may not consent to support or are involved with social care. Your goal will be to enhance educational attendance and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage Cases: Oversee education welfare and school attendance cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with social care teams, schools, and families to develop effective support plans.
  • Assess Needs: Evaluate the needs of children and families to identify barriers to attendance and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports for meetings and court hearings, clearly outlining assessments and outcomes.
  • Advocate: Act as a champion for children's rights, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Educational Background: Relevant Level 3 qualifications, including GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years'experience in children's social care or related fields, with a focus on vulnerable children and families.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of legislation related to school attendance, safeguarding, and child welfare.
