Mental Health Foundation Worker Permanent, £18,600.00 p.a. Hours ? Full time hours. Are you passionate about working with children and young people? Have you got an ability to initiate and maintain constructive relations with people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds? Do you have a proactive approach to work and the ability to motivate and engage service users and partner organisations alike? If so, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Children and Young People?s Services Team. A job description for this role is available. Please see the list of main duties below: Response Organisation is one of the largest mental health charities in Oxfordshire that provides a range of support for children, young people and adults with a wide range of wellbeing and mental health needs. Following a new initiative launched by NHS England in 2019, Response are now working with Oxford Health Foundation Trust CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) to deliver a new service incorporating Mental Health Support Teams into Schools (MHST?s). The MHST?s is one pathway of the overall Oxon Children and Young People CAMHS Mental Health provision. Your role as a Mental Health Foundation Worker is a vital role in building resilience and mentally healthy communities. Through your work in schools you will identify mental health needs at an early stage and provide guidance and assistance through various interventions involving schools, children and their families, other agencies and CAMHS. In this role you will be supported by your line manager and work under the guidance from qualified CAMHS practitioners. There are potential development opportunities for this role, a key aspect of the new service is building a new workforce to work with schools and mental health. In conjunction with Health Education England (HEE), the national CYP IAPT programme and Reading University there are training opportunities for those wishing to progress in their career with the relevant experience and level of education.
