DevOps Engineer/SRE - Oxford, Oxfordshire

DevOps Engineer/SRE | Python, Docker, Linux, AWS, Jenkins | Oxford with remote working options | Up to to £50,000 It's not often I get to work with a company who can confidently say they are doing something no one else in the world has managed. That's exactly what this Oxford based company have achieved. Making use of computer vision and machine learning, their ground-breaking solutions are revolutionising the healthcare industry, helping deliver safer patient care and free up time for where it's needed most. They have secured over a dozen patents for their technology and have seen it implemented in sites across the UK. Due to these successes, they are now looking add to their already well established team of 50, aiming to be 80 strong by the end of 2020. As part of this recruitment drive, they are looking to hire a forward thinking and flexible DevOps Engineer/SRE to help deliver their unique solutions. You will be supporting the technical teams to enhance their ways of working and improve their release process, identifying any areas which are slowing the team down or reducing reliability. Each day may see you doing something different to the last, ranging from helping remotely debug an issue on a customer Site to developing a new tool to provide reporting insights to the commercial team, or even working with the algorithms team to measure how their latest code is performing. This position is fundamental to driving the scalability of the business over the coming months and years and building a high quality and ambitious SRE team is imperative to delivering this growth. Most importantly, you'll be helping to build a great development culture, solving key problems, whilst thinking forwards to what may be needed in the future. On the technical side you will need: Hands on coding experience, preferably in Python but it's a polyglot environment. They even use a bit of Golang and Ruby. Know your way around a Linux system CI/CD - preferably Jenkins but they are open to other tools and are happy for you to come in and overhaul the existing implementation Automation and scripting experience Docker AWSIn return you get the opportunity to work in a close knit and entrepreneurial team, creating something that genuinely has never been done before. At the moment the team is fully remote and there will continue to be remote working options, but they do expect to be returning to on-site working for part of the week sometime in the new year.
