Principal Procurement Business Partner, Harwell

Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is looking for a Principal Procurement Business Partner to join them. You will be involved in shaping the procurement strategy as well as partner with the project sponsor to help shape requirements, develop performance and payment mechanisms as well as manage the procurement process. In addition, you will: * Develop and implement procurement strategies for contract work throughout the GDF programme lifecycle, including supply chain development * Develop a robust system of internal procurement control for the RWM wholly owned Subsidiary, including compliance with EU public procurement rules * Develop and manage the pipeline of procurement activities for their portfolio of responsibility and procurement plan in support of the annual budget process * Manage the development of the pipeline of procurement activities, and detailed procurement plans that underpin the annual business plan and corporate targets. * Manage the complete procurement cycle from procurement and contracting strategy development through to contract award and management. * Provide day-to-day commercial evaluation of contractual arrangements and support to underpin business case analysis * Review and identify commercial implications of upstream optioneering opportunities * Advise on the requirements and processes for sanctioning expenditure needed for GDF implementation You will have experience in public sector tendering (specific to the restrictive procedures), pre-construction services specific to NEC type contracts.
