Mirren Park School supports young people aged 11 to 18 with a wide range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs, autism and complex presentations. We deliver a full curriculum experience that is structured to be supportive, relevant and engaging, enabling young people to re‑engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Role Requirements- An appropriate teaching qualification
- Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland in Mathematics, or eligibility and willingness to obtain registration
- Ability to plan, deliver and develop a relevant and engaging mathematics curriculum
- Strong classroom organisation and supportive behaviour management skills
- Ability to assess, track and report on pupil progress to inform learning and teaching
- Ability to prepare pupils for qualifications or accreditation appropriate to their needs and next steps
- Actively contributing to the school community and its positive ethos
- Ability to contribute to school improvement planning and self‑evaluation
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and supporting the development of colleagues, including probationer and student teachers.
- Experience within an additional support needs or specialist setting is welcomed but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.
