Barista, Penarth

Location: Penarth

Hours: Full time. 37.5 hours per week.

Shift times vary dependant on the rota: 7 am - 3 pm, 8 am - 4 pm, 9 pm - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a term time only position. No work hours are available during school holidays.

Contract Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Manpower is recruiting experienced Barista on behalf of our public sector client. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, preparing quality beverages and maintaining the smooth day‑to‑day running of the retail unit.

• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffees and teas.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times.
• Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Restock supplies and assist with deliveries when required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.

• Previous experience as a Barista is essential.
• Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 2 (support available).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly; there may be occasional requirement to work early or late depending on business needs.
