Boston Rose are working with an independent school in Somerset to recruit aSchool Teacher on a full-time maternity cover contract for Key Stage 3.

This role would suit a qualified teacher or someone with substantial teaching or tutoring experience who is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference to young people's lives.

The Role

• Teach and support middle school pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
• Create a safe, structured and therapeutic learning environment
• Adapt teaching in line with EHCPs and support plans
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and families
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience
• Uphold safeguarding and contribute to the wider school community

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or significant teaching/tutoring experience
• Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
• Calm, reflective and adaptable approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
• Experience working with SEN, SEMH or autism is desirable but not essential
