Job title: Maintenance Shift Team Leader Location: Peterborough Salary: £41,500 plus £5,000 shift allowance, plus overtime, pension Hours: 42 hours per week Panama style shift pattern: Days (06:00 ? 18:00) Nights (18:00 ? 06:00) Are you a Maintenance Team Leader looking to work on automation at an automated distribution centre? As a Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for: To support the Site Engineering Manager / Site Supervisor in their duties in providing a highly available automation system. In conjunction with the Maintenance Technicians, provide a first-class site response to the customer, ensuring as far as reasonably practical a first-time right policy. Involvement in meetings as and when required, both with the customers and colleagues. Provide emergency breakdown and maintenance support on all equipment and software issues on the installed equipment. Be part of the Issue Management and the internal escalation process on all related maintenance issues, in partnership with the customer. Create strong effective working relationships with our customers and your responsibility team, to enable us to provide a first-class service. Provide performance in terms of controlling maintenance activities on site, speed of response and quality of repair and standards of workmanship. To provide maintenance support on other issues as well as the installed system, when requested to work on these items when work loading permits. To co-ordinate a team of site technicians and third-party repair companies on their activities on site. Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a fully automated distribution site. You will be responsible for maintaining all site machinery including conveyors, shuttles, robotics and more. You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans. Further responsibilities include; Ensuring shift engineers are completing maintenance in the time period given. Leadership of a team of experienced maintenance engineers Maintenance planning Managing training schedules Leading continuous improvement and project work. PPM activity on equipment. Reporting on KPI?s Managing compliance and health and safety. Critical stock control 1-2-1s AND appraisals Report writing and data presenting. Fault finding through Siemens PLC?s (input and outputs) Mechanical and electrical reactive support. Attending breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to resolve engineering issues. As a Maintenance Team Leader you will be working on Panama days and nights. On site you will be working with Automated sortation equipment, packing lines, conveyors, and many other forms of automation and your role will involve: The Candidate To be successful in your application for this Maintenance Team Leader role you will need: A mechanical or electrical engineering apprenticeship/ qualification Supervisory experience of a maintenance team in an automated environment A fantastic attitude towards continuous improvement and making things better. Recognised electrical level 3 qualification Previous experience working as a maintenance supervisor within an automated environment (ASRS, FOOD, FMCG). Strong team leading skills The ability to work within a proactive nature A methodical mind-set, with the ability to problem solve and adapt within short notice.
