Shop Volunteer (General Assistant - Peterhead)

Your local British Red Cross shop offers a variety of volunteering opportunities to support local activities such as stock sorting, preparing donated items for sale, and providing excellent customer service to donors and customers.

We are currently looking for General Assistant volunteers to help us in our shop.

If you can spare a few hours a week on a regular basis, you can help around the shop and gain valuable experience while supporting a worthwhile cause.

• Checking the quality of donated items and preparing them for sale or recycling
• Ironing, cleaning, labelling, and pricing items ready for sale
• Keeping the shop well organised and tidy
• Displaying items for sale
• Performing general activities around the shop

We take an individual approach to ensuring volunteer safety. A simple risk assessment may be required and we will discuss any restrictions or adjustments needed. In some locations, 15‑17‑year‑olds may not be accepted; please contact us if this applies to you.

• No previous experience is required.
