Bar Staff - Stannary Court, Plympton

Salary: £12.81 per hour. Hours per week: 12. Shift flexibility available throughout the week.

The Role

Work as part of a team to serve food and drinks to the correct specifications, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.

Your pubs open early and close late – we offer great shift flexibility – mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Duties Include

• Taking orders, preparing, dispensing and serving drinks to the correct specification via the bar or customer app
• Delivering food to customers, ensuring check-backs are completed and clearing plates within the required timeframe
• Friendly customer interactions: say hello, thank customers and build rapport
• Being knowledgeable about promotions, events and new products
• Maintaining our "clean as you go" standards – clearing tables, wiping surfaces and carrying out toilet checks
• Working in all areas as needed, including glass-washing, restocking fridges, floor and beer garden clearing and other duties

Progression and Development

Most Wetherspoon team leaders and managers started in the kitchen or behind the bar. If you’re looking to progress we can support your development with structured on-the-job training, apprenticeships and management academies, cross-training into other areas (kitchen, hotel) and opportunities to move into team‑leader, kitchen‑shift‑leader and/or pub‑manager roles.
