KS1 Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Plympton and the surrounding areas, teaching pupils in Year 1 and Year 2.

Duties as a Primary Teacher

• Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum following the provided plans
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Assess and record pupil progress where required
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners
• Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the wider school community

Ideal Primary School Teacher

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge across the KS1 curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
